Sunflowers Montessori School is a purpose built school to accommodate the very special needs of pre-school children and has been equipped to the highest standards.
We are situated on the outskirts of Tullamore, County Offaly in beautiful surroundings.
Our primary goal is to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where we can help your child to cultivate his/her natural desire to learn about themselves and the world around him/her.
Our objective is to help children reach their maximum potential through a wide range of experiences which will develop a child’s love of learning and discovery.

Over a century ago, Dr. Maria Montessori became Italy’s first female physician. Her focus soon shifted to better understanding the learning process of children. The Montessori method of education developed based upon Montessori’s clinical observations of children and the ease at which they naturally learn.
Montessori recognized that young children possess a remarkable ability to absorb the world around them. Our school has been true and consistent with the Montessori method, since our founding in 1999. The uniqueness of each child is emphasized and fostered in our well-prepared classroom, which is designed to promote the development of emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs.
One of the most distinguishing features of the Montessori method is its extensive use of manipulative items. Our classroom is filled with these didactic materials that encourage a natural curiosity among children who are eager to choose activities in all areas of our curriculum. The result is confident, happy children that carry a love of learning with them for a lifetime.
How to enrol
In order to reserve a place for your child, please contact the school to ensure that there is a space available.
Fill in the registration forms and return them to the school.
Please be advised that a place will not be held for your child until all forms have been processed.
You will receive confirmation of your place.
If you decide not to avail of the place reserved for your child, please let us know as soon as possible so we can fill the place from the waiting list.
